My philosophy on food is simple. I believe in consuming a diet filled with fresh, wholesome and nutritious foods that are also sustainable for the environment. This of course means eating a vegan, plant-based diet. Meaning no animal products and mainly sticking to foods that are in their natural, least processed form.
I believe in eating to obtain as many nutrients per energy unit as possible. It is possible to be overeating in calories, but have your body still starving on nutrients. With each dish I make and consume, I think of simple ways I can maximise the amount of nutrients that are in it- without any fancy, expensive items of course, just good, old fashion food. Now, that doesn’t of course mean no treats! You will see a vast variety of recipes for vegan treats on this blog, but they will not be void of nutrients. They will always benefit your health in some way and be delicious and nutritious. I hope you can see my philosophy running through this blog, and you enjoy the recipes that I have created.
